Cabin Fever.

Are you as eager for spring as I am?  All the joy and wildness of Christmas has come and gone and now I’m ready for the snow to melt, the sun to shine and the weather to get nice and balmy.  But here in Winnipeg I will be lucky if that happens by April. So what’s a girl to do?   Put some bright yellow floral fabric to good use and make a lap quilt!  Or a baby quilt.  Either way I’m enjoying the colors and the flowers.  Both the yellow and white fabrics are vintage.  The pink tone on tone floral is a couple of modern fat quarters I pieced together.

I machine quilted straight lines down the front of the floral yellow fabric and am currently hand quilting a vine and leaf design with pearl cotton.  Once that’s finished all that will be left is the binding.  Pretty soon this fun little item will be available for sale in my shop.  I promise, its capable of brightening the dreariest of days.
